B Vinod

I graduated with a Dual Degree (M.Tech and B.Tech)(specializing in Ceramics and Composites) from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India.

My interests included the properties and applications of carbon nanotubes, which I first explored in a term paper, "Carbon Nanotubes - Theory and Applications". Later I explored these materials again, in my undergraduate seminar, reviewing, "Carbon Nanotube Based Polymer Composites". My graduate thesis (Dual Degree Project) was titled "Fabrication and Characterisation of Ferrite-Dielectric Magnetoelectric Composites", and focused on production of multilayered laminate composites by screen printing.

I am currently employed with Schlumberger Oilfield Services as a Field Engineer in the Wireline segment. I deal with acquisition and processing of geophysical and petrophysical data, the technology and conveyance methods needed for this, crew operations, quality and safety.
