Love is Fishy
August 25th, 2008, 12:21
Haven’t put a poem together in ages. That’s what I do. I put poems together. I don’t know where one thought comes from; or leads to. And then it all comes together. As I watch, a brightly colored fish, that looks like a pomfret, and smoke an Indonesian Cigarette; another one comes together. Arguably, it’s about love. I can’t tell. I don’t know what love is; or how to fall in and out of love. It’s a beautiful thing though. Telling someone that you love them. In the end, I don’t think anyone knows. It’s like people’s faith in God. A faith I do not share. You do not know what love is. But you know when it happens.
A Lie
I tell myself sometimes
Through my moral sieve,
A lie is not in the telling
But in the make believe.
Where did this mood come from? I need to snap out. Maybe a little bit of “Pimp my Ride” will do. Or maybe another cigarette.
